Recognizing Your Inherent Goodness

by Moshe Gersht

Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author of It’s All The Same To Me and The Three Conditions.

Who would you be if you knew you were good, safe, perfect, connected, and here to express love in your own unique way? How would you live? How would you love? How would you treat the people in your life?

The most important thing you can do for a better, more peaceful world is make peace with yourself. This is always primary. In my book The Three Conditions: How Intention, Joy, and Certainty Will Supercharge Your Life, I call this decision Living with Intention: choosing to live in harmony with the truth of who you are, rather than according to someone else’s judgment.

To live this way is to remain aligned with your innate goodness, love, creativity, health, spirit, divinity, and deep connection to life’s blessings. It is the ongoing choice to remember that within you there is already something whole, beautiful, and perfect.

People travel all over the world searching for themselves. But you do not need to go to India, Rome, Mecca, or Jerusalem to find yourself, because there is no place you are not. In truth, you are not merely a physical being having occasional spiritual experiences. You are a spiritual being journeying through a physical experience.

Your essence is part of a universal whole, a Oneness, the interconnectedness of all things. Some call it soul, spirit, God, the Universe, or energy. The name matters less than the experience. To know this truth is to feel part of something immeasurable and indestructible.

Underneath the physical appearance of things, you are one with all that is. As you experience joy, peace, love, confidence, and acceptance, you begin to sense that you have a divine purpose in this world. You are part of the greatness of life. You are beautiful because you are part of the beautiful perfection of the world.

Rabbi David Aaron says, “Everybody wants to feel like a someone because deep down we all know that we are some of that One.” You are an extension of love, connected to all and separate from nothing.

The truth is:

You are good. Your essence is pure. Ecclesiastes says, “God created human straight,” meaning aligned with the essential good of divine love.

You are safe. Your essence is alive and never dies. You are not your body, achievements, or what others think of you. You are timeless.

You are perfect. Your apparent imperfections are part of your divine purpose. Your soul knows only the joy of being part of the Great Perfection.

You are creative love. You carry a unique genius that only you can express.

You are connected. A profound togetherness unifies us all. There are no true “others,” only people and things that appear that way.

Now imagine knowing this in your heart.

This does not have to remain a distant reality. You can know this. You can live this. You can awaken to the truth of who you already are.
